Chenille yarn is a pre-cut strip of chenille rescued from blanket production in Yorkshire. It is lighter-weight than our classic woollen blanket yarns so creates a thinner, softer rag rug. It works best when left in long strips and woven (on the peg loom, for example) or braided as it can be a bit fluffy when cut into short strips.

As the quantities of yarns we get from the mills vary, please note that the chenille yarn you receive may vary from the one photographed. When selecting “red”, for example, you will receive one of a few red chenille yarns we have in stock. If you purchase multiple red, we will send you a selection where possible.
