HanneMADE is Anne Brooke, artist and tutor living and working in Brighouse, West Yorkshire in the UK. Balancing family life, teaching and her own work, she spends as much of her time as possible in her studio Shed 76 ½ sharing love and passion for stitch. Anne has been an art teacher for over 24 years and decided to spend some of her time creating her own work in 2011. Her love of teaching and sharing skills continues through her embroidery templates she designs, and in the variety of kits she has created.

Why HanneMADE?

The embroidery templates are Anne’s own designs, inspired by the countryside she lives in. She screen-prints the designs onto fabric ready for you to hand stitch them. Through Anne’s guidance you can follow her design and choices or, she also encourages you to put your own personality through your choice of stitches and colours in your piece. ‘Sew4thesoul’ forms the basis of Anne’s bobbin hanging kits and are created with mindfulness and slow stitch in mind. Each kit is put together based on a colourway and with the materials Anne has at that time. This variety and freedom of choice within a kit, forms the basis of Anne’s brand, as she loves to see the range of work that can be created when you have the same starting point. Creating a piece that is unique and personal to you and is accessible to all levels of embroiders.
