Bruce Dobson lives in a small market town in North Yorkshire UK, with his wife Gill, who is a Teddy Bear Artist, Bruce has lived in many parts of Northern UK as his career in Marketing required. It was during the many trips around the Scottish Highlands and Islands when Bruce has free time he enjoyed visiting various artists studios. Bruce always thought that life as an artist living on an Island must be ideal. Bruce achieved this ambition when he moved to live on the Orkney Islands, when he became a full-time professional artist, specialising in seascapes. Later moving back to the Mainland, opening his own Gallery in Melrose in the Scottish Borders.
